Carol Dweck is a leading expert on motivation and professor of Psychology at Stanford. In her book “Mindset“, she describes the researches she has made on the mindset of people. Her studies show that we all have two main mindsets: a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. people with fixed mindsets think that their intelligence and skills are fixed, so they shun hard work, try to avoid mistakes (and therefore, challenges) and do not improve. People with growth mindsets, on the other hand, embrace learning and show much better results. In this interview Prof. Carol Dweck gives us examples of fixed and growth mindset styles and the habits of people with both mindsets. She also gives us advice on how to change our mindset, by using new, more productive habits.
